Working Quickly

I take after my mother. As soon as I get an idea, I have to act on it.
So as soon as the idea for Mini Pip Sewing School came into the picture,
I acted on it. It came together pretty quickly. My booth was cute, smaller than I thought it was going to be so things had to be moved around a little, but in the end, it was perfect. I had a few people interested, quite a few adults, which isn't the age range I was targeting, but I'll take it.

I made the tablecloth in a couple hours. It came out great and was super easy to put together. I'm thinking about putting together a little tutorial because I was asked how it was made at the market.

All the signs were inspired by this pin on pinterest:

I was pretty happy I had the old spools already from a vintage shopping trip last year. They came out super cute and really pulled my whole table together. My bag display is actually an old stick candy holder (the kind they sell at general stores). The jars that came with it are currently holding my button collection.

So, it's a start! A quick one, but I'm happy with my productivity. I have a new project brewing in my mind but have to go over it with a few people before introducing ANOTHER new idea. It's all really exciting for me. During school I never had time to really think about my ideas or act upon them since class work would always get in the way but now, once I'm done with work for the day, I get to turn my attention to my own creations and it's such a lovely change.

In other news, I GOT MY FIRST ETSY SALE!! It was so exciting to get the email. I'm also working on two new bag designs. They are in sample mode right now. One is looking pretty good, the other needs some more work. If anyone has tips on inserting magnetic snaps and getting them to line up correctly, that would be fantastic. Let me know!
