Working with a Camera

Beer and Blogging: Photos from the week.

I've been trying to take more photos…of just about everything. Here are a couple on my phone.

Photo 1-008

On the way home from LBI Sunday night, we saw the Empire State Building lit up for Memorial Day, bad picture, but the best I could do driving in the car.

I made Drew go on a run with me Monday morning. I have to start training for my next race!

This was the dress I was too embarrassed to post the other week. I hate how much the bottom looks like an apron. I'm working on turning it into just a top but need a longer zipper so I can actually get into it.

I had a fat quarter of this fabric from Monaluna and thought some mini bags and a mini-mini would look cute out of it. I'll be photographing these tomorrow for etsy.

I want to start working on goals to work towards so I made a Month of June List. I'll probably be updating this throughout the month.

And this is where I am now.

  1. 1. I have to agree with you… the bottom half of that dress does look like an apron. I’ve been having a lot of similar moments lately, where I pick out a pattern or put a few fabrics together and think, “i can TOTALLY make this work!” and then a few hours (or days, or months) later i realize, nope. Nope nope. It’s a bummer but I guess you can’t make good things ALL the time!
One thought – do you have any more of the solid greenish fabric? Maybe if you made the entire dress a solid color it would work. Of course, if you’re anything like me, you had a handful of 1″ scraps left when you were done cutting out…
    2. Your to-do list looks exactly like mine. From the kick in the pants opening to the color coding. I love it.
    3. That’s not beer! But angry orchard is certainly the best cider.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I think we have some things in common so I’ll certainly be back 🙂

  2. Thanks for reading Sam! I don’t have any more green left, but I’ve already cut the bottom off so I can keep the top. I need to purchase a longer zipper to sew in the back but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I do have a bag full of scraps! I feel awful throwing away fabric!
The to do list is slightly working. What I should do is read it every morning, not casually glace at it every now and then haha
And I know it isn’t beer! I posted that on twitter but forgot to mention it on here. I still haven’t acquired a taste for beer so hard cider is the next best thing!
