Trish Stitched

Welcome to Trish Stitched! I’m Trish- the designer of bright & bold handbags and maker of crafty outfits. My passion for sewing started when I was an impatient teenager who couldn’t find clothes to fit properly (I stand at a very lengthy 4’9″). After years of being the only one in high school to still need to shop in the children’s section of a store, I learned to sew. Hours of ripping out seams, sewing dresses too tight and inserting zippers the wrong way, I was finally becoming good with my craft. Sewing also opened my eyes to the world of design and upon learning that I could make anything my mind dreamt of, I was hooked.

During the start of my sewing journey, I came to love the process of making handbags. Since there was no need to fuss with sizes and fit, making & designing bags became my side hobby in a world I already loved. Over the years I have continued to design and push my skills to create bags I am very proud to sell, both retail and wholesale.

My style has changed over the years, and the older I get, the more interested I am in sustainability. You will find many posts about clothing refashions here at Trish Stitched, as I believe the old & worn can still be beautiful. Reclaimed fabrics have found their way into my handbags as well, and “one of a kind” bags are a specialty of mine.

Sewing has allowed me to take designs I love with fabrics to drool over and create a completely unique piece. Sewing is my greatest passion and I am so lucky to be able to do what I love.

My boyfriend Drew and I recently bought our first home in New Jersey & we are working on creating my new sewing studio!

Thank you for stopping by, hope you enjoy my work!

  1. I just came across your blog and I love it! I have a few things in common with you, as far as sewing goes. I can’t wait to see what else you make. I am your newest follower. 🙂
