Another holiday means another party dress! I bought this beautiful knit during our vacation to San Diego. It's a heavier weight knit and the print is gorgeous, making it perfect for a fall dress. I used my trusty Cynthia Rowley pattern, the same as this dress, for a quick sew.
Since this fabric has a good stretch, I didn't need a zipper but I did have to watch my print. I'm proud to say all seams just about line up!
I decided to sew down the pleats because I wanted them more defined. When this pattern is sewn with a cotton, or sturdier fabric, pleats are more noticeable but with the drape of this fabric, I wasn't sure the pleats would be as pronounced.
This dress is so comfy and a great holiday feast dress because the stretch allowed for more turkey 😉
